Mom life

Today was a good day.  Lots of our days are good days.  The kids are in bed now though and I had a few minutes to think about the day and it made me laugh.  I changed Rickie's diaper in the back of the Tahoe today, and the wipes that I normally keep back there were frozen.  At first, I couldn't even use them because they were all frozen together and then once I got them apart, I had to actually use them on Rickie.  Poor Rickie...they were pretty much thin sheets of ice.  Once in Walmart I bought several things off the endcaps, even though I knew there were cheaper brands right down that aisle, but it was easier to grab it off the endcap than walk down the aisle with 2 kids.  I guess they must count on that sometimes, to put them there in the first place.  Emma didn't want to wear her coat out today and is it bad that I almost let her go out without one just to prove that I am Mom and I know best?  My common sense won out today though... I mean it was 7 degrees out this morning.  That may be normal for some places, but not East TN.  We come home and I made 4 trips upstairs with groceries and honestly on the days that I make my grocery trip, I come home exhausted!!  That's where TV comes in :)

 

Look at that picture. They are glued.  Hey, at least I gave them an apple to snack on.   I feel sorry for Mom's whose kids won't watch TV.  Both my kids love it and when I need a break...I use it.  We all had a big lunch today, so I didn't really cook supper.  I put some french fries in the oven and Emma told me she didn't like them.  So I told her that I would never buy her french fries from Pal's or McDonalds ever again if she didn't eat french fries at home.  She ate them.  Today was a good day, but it was filled with all of those little Mom decisions you make all day long.  Some may be wrong, some may be right.  You really just have to have a sense of humor :) Most things don't go as planned.  Kid's say inappropriate things.  They don't use manners that you are constantly on to them about every single day.  They fight eating and sleeping like it is some sort of torture and they challenge your every rule. I feel like I am out of the groove right now with blogging...but I hope you guys enjoy hearing about different parts of our day and if you're a Mom...know that you are not alone! #lifeofamom  #everydaylife #thankful
